Artist Statement

My creative process played a big part in all of my projects. For every one of my projects I put extensive thought into the design, I would draw multiple sketches in my sketchbook and get feedback on which one my classmates liked better before choosing my design. When I would talk to my classmates I would consider all of their ideas and make a mix between the best ideas between all of us to make the project have many different aspects that were creative and good. Sometimes, however, I would have a shortage of ideas and could not think of anything to do, so whenever this would happen, I listen to some music and wait for the ideas to come into my head about what to do. Also, I would ask my classmates on how they would create it to see if I would think the same way and like their ideas. Throughout the semester my design have gotten more simple and visually appealing. For my ideas to become a reality I used Adobe Illustrator, and I would transform my ideas into real projects by using Illustrator and using many different tools and colors to make my projects as visually appealing as possible. Throughout the semester I learned new tricks on Illustrator and learned how to use tools, such as the pen tool really well. My work shows how I am a simple guy that likes to get straight to the point. My designs are simple and sleek without many distractions, and I tried to make them as visually appealing as possible. Throughout the semester I used my personality more to design my projects, making them more simple. I started out the semester adding a lot of detail to all of my projects, however I changed about halfway through when I realized that more detail did not actually make it more visually appealing, so I transformed by making my projects have less detail and be more sleek so that they would become more appealing.
